Camping. The only camping along the Creb track is at impressive Roaring Meg Falls, where there is a campground by a magnificent waterhole – the falls are along the road/walking track off to the left as you arrive at the campground, the swimming hole is down the closed-off road to the right.

Is the CREB Track hard?

For the last 15km or so, the track is gravel and winds through rainforest to Wujal Wujal, where it joins back to Cape Tribulation Road.

On steep slopes, or where it is red soil, it can be very slippery in wet weather. Road conditions can vary greatly – either an easy drive or impassable – although improving with new bridges over Woobadda and Bloomfield River. The Track is generally unsuitable for trailers and definitely not caravans.

CREB Track is one of the best tracks for those seeking a challenging drive. It is very difficult to drive on so only vehicles with the right gear can finish it. CREB Track is 82 km long and can be completed in a day (or you can sleep at any of the campsites).

Can you camp on the Bloomfield Track?

The camping area is close to the beautiful Weary Bay, and just a stones throw from the Bloomfield River. The Roaring Meg Falls, high up in the Ranges makes a great outing and a great spot for a swim. We are pet friendly and welcome your social, respectful companions.

Is the Bloomfield Track sealed?

Track conditions The road is only partially sealed with very steep ranges and natural creek crossings. As such, the road can become impassable after heavy rain. Motorists should exercise caution when attempting to traverse natural creek crossings.

You access the track from the South by heading up the Cook Highway to the Daintree ferry. You then head on up to Cape Tribulation. It’s a steep but easy 30 km drive suitable for all 4wds and camper trailers (and 2WDs at times).
