Founded in 1986, the Mrs. United States Pageant celebrates married women from around the country in Orlando, Florida.
What is the difference between MS USA and Miss America?
Miss USA has a swimsuit competition, Miss America has a talent competiton. Another big difference between the two contests is that the Miss USA pageant has a swimsuit competition while Miss America has done away with that portion.
Who owns Mrs America?
Each delegate competed in three areas of competition, including interview, swimsuit, and evening gown. This is the second year of the Mrs. American pageant, the sister pageant to Mrs. America, owned by David and Elaine Marmel.
Can you compete in both Miss America and Miss USA?
Many women choose to compete in both Miss USA and Miss America, but the two organizations are completely separate. Miss USA also has strict requirements for entry, just like Miss America, and the show includes a swimsuit portion of the competition.
What happened to Mrs. America?
In November 2019, it was announced the show would premiere on Hulu instead of FX, as part of “FX on Hulu”. In January 2020, it was announced that the series would premiere on April 15, 2020.

Who competes in Mrs. America?
Each of the contestants representing the 50 states and the District of Columbia range in age from their 20s to 50s and earns the right to participate in the national event by winning her state competition. These state events are under the direction of Mrs. America state directors.
