The River Walk is a public park and is open every day of the year, 24 hours a day. Holiday lights are on the downtown portion of the River Walk. Our friends at the San Antonio River Authority have added lights North of Downtown on the river in the Pearl District.

San Antonio is going to install and turn on the lights along the River Walk on November 12, which is 14 days before the Ford Holiday River Parade on November 26. The lighting ceremony will still take place the day of the event. The whopping 25 miles of lights will be up until January 10, 2022.

This event is made possible through volunteers from Windcrest Women’s Club and the City of Windcrest. Thousands of visitors from San Antonio and the surrounding area come to see the free lighting event every year.
