Woodworking is defined as the crafts of carpentry, cabinet-making, and related skills of making things from wood. Joinery is defined as frame and panel construction, or, alternatively, as the work of the joiner — the fabrication and installation of fittings in buildings.

The main difference between millwork and wood casework is that millwork is usually bespoke, and built to solve a client’s specific needs. Casework, on the other hand, typically – but certainly not always – refers to prefabricated or modular pieces of furniture.

  8. Parallel is more important than level or square.
